Urban Shield has grown into a comprehensive, full-scale regional preparedness exercise.

100 CLUB

Each year during the Urban Shield exercise, a worth public-safety related non-profit organization is selected to be the event’s featured charity. The Martin C. Kauffman 100 Club of Alameda County has been so honored. Founded in 1974, the club is a 501 (c)(3) not for profit charitable organization providing immediate financial support to spouses of police officers and firefighters that are killed in the line of duty in Alameda County. The Club also provides college scholarships for the children of the police officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty in Alameda County.
